DE&I (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) remains a strategic priority at EY. To demonstrate this commitment, the EY Global Executive signed the Global Executive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement, and plans to promote diversity across the EY organization at the highest level.
In FY23, 36% of partner, senior directors, executive directors and directors (PPEDD) promotions were women . Overall, this year's promotion, with a total of 2,216 promotions to PPEDD, was one of the largest in history.
Employee numbers across EY's global Cayman Island WhatsApp Number organization Cayman Island WhatsApp Number also continued to grow, with total partners and people at EY member firms increasing by 8.2% to 395,442 worldwide. This year, 4.7 million people applied for jobs at EY, of which 122,000 were hired, with an overall retention rate of 79.3%. 93% of people hired said they had an exceptional hiring experience.
Investment and impact in sustainability and technology training
In FY23, EY has invested $385 million in training , achieving a record 24 million hours of training in total, which is an average of 61 hours per employee.
EY offers 227 training accreditations, known as EY Badges, across a wide range of disciplines including AI, supply chain planning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), sustainability and technical training in accounting and taxation. Since the start of the program in 2017, more than 430 badges have been achieved per day and to date more than 410,000 have been obtained .
Following the success of the EY Tech MBA in 2020, last year EY launched another new accredited qualification in partnership with Hult International Business School: the EY Master of Sustainability. This year the sixth and largest class of the EY Tech MBA was held, with 74 graduates, in addition to the first class of graduates of the EY Masters in Sustainability, with a total of 274 graduates in all EY degrees.
Today, the Firm has more than 70,000 technology-savvy professionals, from data scientists to AI engineers and cloud experts.
